Tutorials are keeping me sane

Since about mid-April I have been doing online tutorials to help me create things in Procreate. Having a task to concentrate on (one that takes extra concentration because it is unfamiliar) has helped occupy my mind so I am not overloaded with all that is going on around us right now. It’s all about self-care. (Aren’t you sick of that word?)

I have really enjoyed these but have learned that without a tutorial, I am rubbish at drawing. Since I have been unable to find my writing motivation this year, I will continue to do tutorials until someone returns it to me.

The hot chocolate and marshmallows drawings above are from a tutorial by luma_llama on YouTube. The first image is the one I did strictly following the tutorial and the second image is one I did using the techniques I learned. The first little cup is definitely superior.
