The Rising Waters of the Coeur d'Alene

We had so much snow this winter that people have been predicting flooding in our rivers and lakes, well, they were right. With the warming weather and the rains, the rivers and lakes have gone over the flood line prompting people to just now start sand bagging. This really gets to me. These people who have houses on the water have been hearing for months that the snow pack was going to melt quickly and that they should prepare for flooding, but no, they are just now thinking, "I can't see my lawn anymore through the water, maybe I should put a couple sandbags in front of my garage."

Here are some photos of Coeur d'Alene lake. These photos were taken just a few days apart on Monday May 19th, and on May 22.
